In this 7-hour workshop, Sérgio and Ricardo will share their tips to make you a successful exams teacher. They will tackle topics such as how to pace the course, how to balance teaching and testing in the exam class and how to build students’ exam skills. They will also focus on teaching skills (Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking) and discuss the difference in teaching Cambridge Main Suite exams (such as FCE, CAE and CPE) and the IELTS.

Teaching Exam Classes
This is a 7-hour workshop delivered by Ricardo Barros and Sérgio Pantoja on July 3, 2019
Ricardo Barros is a CELTA tutor, Delta module 2 local tutor and freelance teacher trainer based in Jundiaí–SP. He has taught English since 2003, working as a teacher, mentor, academic coordinator and Cambridge speaking examiner. He holds the Delta, CELTA, CPE and a BA in History from Unicamp. His Delta Module 3 Specialism focused on Teaching Exam Classes. He is also interested in Phonology and Language Development for Teachers. Ricardo was an advisory council member for BRAZ-TESOL in 2017/2018.
Sérgio Pantoja has been in the ELT field since 2002, having worked for several language schools in Brazil as an English teacher, teacher trainer and speaking examiner. He has mostly worked with young adults and adults in the areas of general English and preparation for proficiency exams. He holds the Delta, CPE, a degree in Languages, a postgraduate degree in English Language Teaching and Translation, and a TESOL Certificate from the University of Oregon, USA. His Delta Module 3 Specialism focused on Language Development for Teachers. Sérgio will be an advisory council member for BRAZ-TESOL in 2019/2020.
